The Centre for Women’s Studies Course

The Feminist Media Culture: Gender Production course has been organized by BeFem since 2013 in cooperation with the Centre for Women’s Studies from Belgrade. During one semester, lecturers and participants of the program problematize various media practices of production and representation of gender identities, as well as media construction of social reality.

All lecturers of the course are engaged in the media sphere (media theorists, media activists, journalists), and we also cooperate with lecturers from the region and abroad, given that the work of BeFem (as well as the Centre for Women’s Studies) is aimed at promoting and exchange of international, regional, and local feminist practices and knowledge.
