BeFem Festival
For eleven years, the feminist festival BeFem has been the meeting place of feminist theory and action.
From its inception in 2009 until 2020, our Festival gathered all those interested in feminist theory, practice, and art, and we hosted numerous activists of the women’s movement from Serbia, the region, and Europe. The festival was a playful place where we discussed important local issues that affect the lives of women and the development of society based on the principles of gender equality.
In addition to opening important feminist topics in Serbia, we are proud that the festival attracted young girls every year and opened space for new voices that are important in building the movement.
