Lana Bastašić was born in Zagreb in 1986. She has a degree in communications and in english language and literature. She has participated in several literature festivals in the last five years. Her short stories are being published in magazines in the region. At the moment she is finishing her master studies in culture theory on the faculty of political science in Belgrade. In her free time she writes, gets tattoos and plays the piano.

Biljana Stanković Lori was born in Novi Sad in 1974. She has a degree in serbian language and literature from 1999. The same year she also graduated from the alternative studies “Mileva Maric Einstein” with the feminist theatre FENS as her examination work. The collision of activism and art in the work of Biljana Stankovic Lori has resulted in the creation of yet another feminist, and lesbian, theatre group, ACT women. Her research in bodies, voices, moves and rhythm in the female and lesbian identity led way to her theatre workshop “The rhythm within us”. She is currently working as a coordinator in Novi Sad Lesbian Organisation (NLO), giving education on coming-out, among other things. She lives in Novi Sad with her dog Lena and a few friends in mind.

Jovana Dimitrijević works with carnal art and painful body art. She finished the 1st textile school in Leskovac, was accepted directly to the third year of Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht in the Netherlands and has gone through women's studies. Kajsa Ekis Ekman is a Swedish author and journalist born 1980. In 2010 her book "Varat och varan" (Being and the commodity), which describes prostitution and surrogate motherhood from a feminist perspective, was published.

 

Kakan Hermansson is a Swedish artist based in Stockholm with an MFA in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack (University of Arts). Her interests are craft, video and performance. Kakan always focus on gender, class, ethnicity and homosexuality and problems surrounding these topics. The artist spends a lot of time in the US, mostly San Francisco and LA, studying homophobia and working together with artist Roxy Farhat who together form the art group AYANDE/FRAMTIDEN/THE FUTURE.

Hanna Hannes Hård works as a freelance editor, proofreader and writer based in Stockholm, Sweden. They are one of three editors of Ätstört. En antologi om ätstörningar, fett, mat och makt (Eating disordered. An anthology on eating disorders, fat, food, and power) that was released in September 2011. They are an internet-based activist since 2008, two of their main subjects being relationship anarchy and body activism, the later defined as a mixture of trans activism, fat activism, and eating disorder activism. Nina Matthis is a Swedish freelance performer based in Belgrade.

She started training stage fight in 2003 with the Nordic Stage Fight Society, unarmed and cold weapons. Nina works mostly in Scandinavia and Serbia, and when not performing, she gives workshops, trains actors and choreographs.

And now Nina is planning to do a fight performance in Belgrade together with KolektivKolektiv.

Samira Ariadad is a philosophy student, music and politics journalist and an activist involved in the Stockholm based social Centre "The Secret Garden". She also works with the 113 year old anarchist magazine Brand as editor and writer. She is involved in several activist groups concerning precarity and feminism, amongst them Forum for Women's issues that works with developing and spreading theories about women's labour.

She contributed with the text "the desire for anti-desire" in the Eating Disorder anthology.

Dj Cookie Jar has been playing hiphop and RNB for the last 11 years. She have had several hip hop clubs, most of them queer and including performances and other art works. Cookie Jar loves Nicki Minaj, Mc Lyte, Rah Diggah amongst others.

Dj Jane Hans Hellen has a broad repertoire of music interest. She's into electro as well as rap and dubstep, depending on her mood. Since 2006 she's a resident at Hägern in Stockholm.

Anna Fock is an actress within the Dirty Diaries project. She has moderated panel discussions on feminist porn at Stockholm Pride. In 2008 she conducted a "pilgrim's journey" to San Francisco with the aim to explore as much about sexuality as possible.

Bang redaction: Bang is the Swedish feminist magazine that just turned 20! It was started by students at Stockholm university in 1991 and has since then been the centre for critical feminist debate on culture and society. Editors Johanna Palmström and Trifa Shakely, designer Cajsa Unnbom and event manager Malin Träff are coming to BeFem.

Berina Džemailović and Vedrana Frasto from CURE Foundation in Sarajevo will run the feminist workshop on BeFem, as part of the CURE initiative of traveling feminist workshops in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
